JØRN MAGNE FLESJÅ, Finnøy
Jørn is a trained wooden boatbuilder and carpenter with journeyman’s certificate in both trades. After two years as a student at the boatbuilderschool in Jondal, he established Ryfylke Trebåtbyggjeri in 1993. Here old boats being restored and get a new start. Jørn and his employees build, repair and restore work boats and pleasure crafts. He has constructed a new building which is a traditional Norwegian construction to protect Restauration during the building period..

ARNE NORDBØ, Finnøy
Arne is an authorized electrician and entertainer. He make his living being a toastmaster, master of ceremonies and stand-up- comedian. Arne and Tor Øyvind Skeiseid have developed popular day-tours round Finnøy showing the local sites and explaining the culture. The building of Restauration is included in these tours. When launched Restauration will be prominent in tours showing houses and farms connected with emigration to America.

TONE ÅSLAUG KRINGELAND, Tysvær
She is a senior lecturer at the Haugesund Health College and is on the executive committee of the local town council. Her interest in the sail training ship Statsraad Lemkuhl led her to signing on as assistant crewmember on the passage from Stord to Edinburgh. Tone views the work to get Restauration afloat as a way to take care of cultural heritage.

PER INGE BØE, Stavanger
Per Inge is a historian employed at the Norwegian Emigration Center in Stavanger. He has a background as a teacher and diver. He is engaged in questions relating to emigration and keep in contact with descendents of Norwegian immigrants in North America.

JORUNN STRAND VESTBØ, Finnøy
Chairman of the board. From 1991 – 2007 Jorunn served as a mayor in parish of Finnøy. She has made a large contribution in the political preparations for making the island community of Finnøy connected to the mainland, also called the Finnfast project. With an interest in both local history and in emigration history she was the natural choice for being elected as a chairman in this project.

GUNLEIF SELDAL, Klepp
Professional engineer within mechanical disciplines, with background from mechanical outfitting of oil production platforms, and a variety of consultant assignments. He works at Aker Marine Contractors AS and has an extensive international experience in marine operations related to offshore oil field development. In his spare time, his main interest is local history and the earlier period of migration from Norway to America. This interest has results in several articles on emigration.

MAURICE ERIC CLEMENT, Hardanger
Lives in Norheimsund, Hardanger, but were born and raised in New Zealand. He is a trained craftsman with the journeyman’s certificates for wooden boat building and carpentry. He was a teacher at Norheimsund upper secondary vocational school for 11 years and taught boat building theory and practice. He spent much of his spare time from 1989-1994 trying to find details about Restauration. Now retired he assists the Restauration Foundation with technical drawing and English translation.
